Vintage Automaton 2 Double Singing Birds Music Box Bird Cage Made in Germany

Here from a Detroit estate is this vintage German music box in the form of a bird cage with 2 feathered birds perched inside. The mainspring does not hold a wind. You can hear it unwinding at a fast pace. The red bird swivels and his beak moves but no sound. The yellow bird does not move much, only the beak and a flutter of the tail. The ring cap on top needs a tin nut to secure it to the cage. Original label on the bottom reads \"Made in Germany\". The finish is excellent with red rhinestones. Very elegant and nicely detailed. It is in \"as found\" condition and would need proper repair. Thanks for looking.
