This is a 1955 Bear Archery Kodiak Special right handed 42 pound recurve bow. The bow is in nice shooting condition with straight limbs and no shooting problems. The original leather wrapped grip is in well worn condition and could stand replacing. Other than that the bow is nice. The bow has gray glass on the front with a good original finish and no stress marks. The Bear decal on the upper limb is nice and the Pat. Applied for decal on the lower limb is nice. The black and white tip overlays are all real nice. The leather strike plate/rug is nice. The shooter side has dark brown glass with a good original finish. No bad stress marks and the Kodiak Special decal on the upper limb is nice. The woodwork is Maple with a dark wood in the sight window. It is marked: 68\" XE249 42#. There are no holes in the bow or scratches. Overall a real good shooting old bow with a new string and just could use a new leather grip. Buyer will pay shipping of 24.00 priority insured mail.
