This is a 16-piece Blue Willow child\'s tea set ca. 1940 (per my mom, the original owner). It includes a platter, soup tureen with cover, gravy boat, teapot, creamer, sugar bowl with cover, two plates, four saucers, and two teacups. All pieces other than the teacups have \"Made in Japan\" stamped on the bottom. The largest piece (platter) is 6x4 inches.
All of the pieces have pattern flaws - irregular design on the edge, missing or faded areas of design, and small pock marks in the china. These are all glazed over so are manufacturing defects, not damage.
Soup tureen has a 1 in. chip on the rim and two visible cracks on the inside (can feel one, can only see the other) that don\'t go through to the outside. The rim of the base has three brown paint marks. The cover is in excellent condition but there\'s a flaw in the pattern on the edge.
Gravy boat is in excellent condition other than a 3/4 in. chip in the ridge of the base on the underside, pattern flaws on base and bowl, no cracks.
Teapot is in excellent condition (no lid) with a rough spot on the rim of the base. I don\'t think it\'s a crack but is extra bits from the manufacturing process. Pattern flaws all around the lower edge of the sides.
Sugar bowl and cover are in excellent condition with pattern flaws on both pieces, no chips or cracks.
Both plates are in excellent condition with pattern flaws, no chips or cracks.
All four saucers have pattern flaws ranging from a tiny spot on one to several areas where the design is missing. One saucer has a small unglazed area on the rim - can\'t tell if it\'s a chip or just a missed area.
Both teacups have pattern flaws. One teacup has a missing handle and a tiny chip in the base. The other is in excellent condition.
I have 25 photos but can only include 12. Please contact me for more pictures if interested. Will ship via USPS, medium flat rate box.
