Marked C. Hammond , Philidelphia , cast steel. Mark is fair, Hard to see the C. Have to remember this broad axe is over 100 years old. Does have some pitting . This broad axe is relatively small, weighs only 1LB 14OZ. C. Hammond did make a boys axe and I\'m wondering if this might be one. I really can\'t honestly say. The mark does have a # 2 above C. Hammond . Edge isn\'t bad for a older used broad axe. One small ding and could use a honing or sharpening to make it nicer. This is the first C. Hammond I have had in my axe inventory over the years. Handle I am sure is not original , has a few nails in it holding head to handle. Some paint marks etc and end chips in handle . Head is tight though. Edge measures 3 1/2\" and 5 7/8\" edge to back. Overall with handle 13 1/2\" . Pictures show it pretty well and are also part of the description. Feel free to ask further questions. Will ship overseas also using the shipping.
