Offered in this sale is a vintage artist signed simple modernist mid century studio pottery - stoneware vase that was made by Clivia Calder. From what I can gather, Clivia Calder was the supervisor for the WPA/FAP in Michigan. This piece measures roughly 3 3/4\" tall x 3 1/4\" in diameter across the top. It is incised CALDER on the underside of the base. It also has a piece of paper taped to the base with the full name Clivia Calder. This is a simple, iconic, hand thrown piece of American studio pottery. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration.
