Up for sale is a recently refurbished Columbian 604 M2 4\" Swivel Vise.The vise comes with the pictured copper jaws as well for soft items that the serrated jaws would damage. I have owned the vise for many decades at our machine shop, but recently overhauled it so it would look a little nicer and it works great now. Took it entirely apart, de-rusted it, cleaned it, painted it, lubed it and re-assembled. I also filed down the anvil area about as smooth as was realistic given some of dings were kind of deep.Removed the jaws as well and gave them a thorough cleaning and reinstalled after paint. I just brush painted it with some Rustoleum but I put some hardener in with it so that it is far more durable than a simple quick rattle can job. It is by no means perfect but it functions great and is very respectable looking.It is not a perfect job, so please be realistic as I wasn\'t setting out to do a Rick\'s restoration level job. I did however go a step above just a quick rattle can job though using oil paint with hardener. Based on other jobs I\'ve done with similar tractor paint and hardener it holds up really well over the long haul, or at least far better than just spray paint.As long as you\'re realistic about it not being a total trailer queen (it has been used) it is a great looking vise that can be used immediately and look nice in your shop. Since I used generic rustoleum blue you can always touch it up in the future which is a nice bonus. Just oil the bare metal parts periodically to keep any rust at bay and with a little care it can stay nice long into the future. Vise weighs roughly 45-50 pounds, and the jaws are 4\" wide.See my other listings for more tools.
