VERY NICE VINTAGE CONN DIRECTOR CORNET, MODEL 14A!
I\'m not an expert on vintage musical instruments, playing them, their operation, or restoration. I purchased this Conn Cornet at an estate sale. I think it\'s all original parts and in very good vintage condition. It comes with a vintage Conn 4 silver mouthpiece (approximately 2 3/4 inches long). The horn has some dents and some areas where the varnish has worn off. Also, I think it\'s missing the finger ring for the sliding tuning valve?There is likely other minor wear and tear from use.I\'ve tried to show any significant wear or damage in pictures. It\'s also a bit dirty and could use a cleaning. It\'s about 17 inches long (with mouthpiece) and the bell is about 5 inches wide. It has serial number 831222 on one of the outer piston tubes, which I think means it was manufactured in 1959. It comes with a vintage plastic case that is probably not original to the instrument.
