Beautiful Rich Velvety Tone!

Serial Number 257462 Made c.1933

I\'ve taken very good care of this sax. Rareto find in this condition! This is aConntransitional period tenor saxophone called the \"Artist Model\". Halfway between the ChuBerryand the Lady Face. Features rolled tone holes, nail file G#, opposable B-Bb, forked F option. Comes with the original case in excellent condition. There was a pickup on the neck which was removed and patched some years ago (see pictures). The neck is now in excellent playing condition.Mechanically very good condition with very little wear. A little wear on the nail file G#. No dents,just few tiny marks and some scratches. Evidence of a dent in bell which was removed and is only detectable from the inside. The pads are a combination of new and olderdark colored but are all well seated and the horn plays beautifully. I have always believed the lacquer to be original, and more than 98% intact.

These transitional horns are hard to find and haveall the great qualities of the ChuBerryand the Lady Face combined. The \"Lady Face\" engraving (see pictures) is beautiful and appears to be done by one of the better artists of the period.Look at some of the fine detail on the horn, pearl buttons, bone rollers, fancy key guards.

You just can\'t find quality like this anymore.
