Vintage Dexter 48912 Chef Knife Carbon Steel 12" Blade

From my Grandma's estate...

A vintage Dexter chef's knife # 48912. My Grandma was a professional cook from the 40's to the early60's and I've found many interesting culinary tools while going through her things.

Thisknife is in very good shape for its age. There are spots ofrust on the carbon steel bladebut the edgelooks great. The handle is clean, smooth and tight. Marked "Dexter 48912". There areidentifying marks on the opposite sidecarved into the wood.The blade is marked "Dexter Southbridge, Mass".

The blade measures 12" and,with the handle, the knife measures 17-1/4".
