This measures from the top of the bird to the bottom of the front trim 15 1/2”. It is 11 1/4” across the widest part of the top trim. The dial 3 1/8” with glued on numbers but the number 5 is missing and marked Germany. This has the pendulum, chains and weights. The chains are dirty and the weights are unmarked. The finish on this looks like someone has put shellac or varnish over the original finish and it is shiny and rough. It has been re-glued across the bottom of the front trim and the bird wing and neck has been re-glued on the top trim. They are both solid but not the best job. This is a good size or medium size clock. The back door and coil gong are here and good. The bellows are here, one appears to be ok, the other has the top apart. The movement is marked E Schmeckembacher, made in Germany. This is a one day movement that is quite clean but very dirty around the pinions and dry. This clock will make a nice improvement to any collection. It even has the weights with it.

With the new rules everyone is encouraged to go to free shipping. As everyone knows nothing is free. The people that are offering free shipping add a higher price to the starting price. What they do is figure what it will cost to send this item to the farthest distance away and add that to the starting price. I feel that this is deceptive. They tell us that the buyer will not know the difference, they only look at the free part. We charge actual shipping and one dollar for the materials on small items and two dollars for materials on large shipments, which over the year only covers 75% of the costs and we refund any amount over one dollar of the actual shipping and handling. We cannot be more honest or do it for any less. I hope you understand. In the future we will ship everything we can the very cheapest way we can unless the buyer requests a different method. In other words we will be shipping, flat rate, first class or parcel post in the USA as much as we can. As starting in July has told us that we as sellers will be charged final value fees for the price of the item plus the price of the shipping and any handling charges.
