Offered is a vintage (1920-1940) E.I.H. Co. Inc.5 part composition doll with a cloth body.He was my mother\'s doll when she was a child.
This doll is about 20 inches tall and is marked \"E.I.H.\" on the back his head. This was the early brandingfor Horseman Dolls. E.I.H. stands for Edward Imeson Horseman. There are a few small cracks above his eyes. He has working open and close eyes and painted mouth. (Most of the paint has worn away.) His eyes are a lovely blue painted style. He has molded and painted hair that now looks orange in color. I believe this doll has on his original outfit as itappears to be sewn on to him. He is wearing a maroon velveteen jacket and shorts.Underneath he has a collared white short sleeve shirt with 5 buttons. He is also wearing his original white snap on shoesand socks. He could use a cleaning. Despite this, it is wonderful to find a doll with its original outfit.
There are a few issues. Please see the last 2 photos. There is a crack on the doll\'s right wrist, and there is some circular cracking on the back of the baby\'s left leg. Some fingertips are worn. There are some additional (fine) cracks on the baby\'s legs.I am by NO means an expert and have done my best to describe her. Please refer to the photos.
Don\'t miss this opportunity to own this ADORABLE doll ! He would be a great doll to addto your antique dollcollection. Be sure to check out my other dolls listed.
