VINTAGE EXTREMELY RARE ITC Model Craft Explorer Satellite I
This is the 1:6 scale model of the Explorer I Satellite produced by the Ideal Toy Company (ITC) in 1959. It includes a very detailed interior which can be viewed via opening panels even after assembly is complete. It also comes with a stand with a handle that when turned clicks out the \"satellite signal”. As the box art says, “Assembled model transmits actual messages in Morse code”.
This kit is 100% complete. Comes with original decals and instructions. The decals look to be in remarkable shape for 50+ years. But because of the age, I can not guarantee their useability. The instruction manual has a handy page that numbers all the parts (see pictures). This makes it easy to confirm that the kit is complete.
