For your consideration is a vintage 1972-1974made in Japan Fender F-65 Dreadnought with case. This model was made withan adjustable bridge that was typical in the late 60\'s early 70\'s days of theMartin and Gibson copy cat guitars. The exact year it was crafted isunknown, however this vintage has the dot fret markers absent a marker on the17th fret. This datesthe instrumentto 1972,73 or 74. Nocracks existing or repaired. Neck is straight, action is low (butadjustable to your style of play), the frets and rosewood fingerboard are ingreat shape and the rosewood bridge shows no signs of cracks or lifting.Structurally the instrument is in very good shape.
The tone of this guitar is outstanding and anavid Fender acoustic collector describes the 1973 F-65the guitar as:
\"The Dreadnought size guitarwith aged Rosewood sides and back. Close grain Spruce top. Produces mellow basstones along with brilliant high note response. Eight piece white binding, pintype adjustable bridge. Neck of Mahogany with Rosewood fingerboard and fullyadjustable truss rod. Fully enclosed, easy turning machine heads. 20 frets; 25½inch scale. Size: 41 inches long, 16 inches wide, 4 7/8 inches deep.\"(Just google fender acoustic collection-thank you Phil). I found thisguitar\'s tone to be outstanding and the sustain is remarkable.
Cosmetically there are some scratches andsmall indentations on the top. The back has a bit of buckle rash. Overallin very good condition for a 45 year old guitar. The case is in goodcondition as well. Not perfect, but clean and serves the purpose.
Thank you for your consideration.
