Rare Vintage Find! ASBACH URALT Fine German Brandy Wood Framed Bar Mirror
Here is a nice 1970's Asback Uralt framed bar mirror. It is in very good condition with no cracks or scrapes on the glass image or cracks or gouges on the wood frame. The image is clean and bright, no fading. All graphics are clear and unbroken. The frame measures 15" by 21" and the mirror is 12" by 18". It was hard to get a picture of the mirror without me in it, but I still think you can see all the details.
The red Asback Uraltlogo is at the top of the mirrorand below that is written "Asback Uralt" in large letters and below that is"The Old World's Finest Brandy". These are hard to find, especially this one. If you want a unique item for your man cave then this is it.
Some Asbach Uralt Hitory
Asbach Uralt is a German brandy produced by the company Asbach GmbH, which also makes other spirits and chocolate. The company is located in the town of Rüdesheim am Rhein, Germany.
Asbach's history dates back to 1892 when Hugo Asbach founded the company. The Treaty of Versailles decreed that the word Cognac could only be used for French products, so Hugo Asbach coined the term Weinbrand for German brandy.
As a long drink Asbach is often mixed with a Coca-Cola product. The coffee drink Rüdesheimer kaffee contains Asbach as its alcoholic ingredient.
