Vintage 1970s model Heathkit SW-717 AM SW Ham radio receiver. Cosmetically very good look with no damage to the cabinet and one scratch along the top.Tested the unit and powers on to receive static across the bands. Have been unable to tune in any frequency on this one.This one was my project in the late 1970s. When completed was able to tune in some SW with limited antenna size. Was also able at that time to tune some local AM stations as well. It has been in storage for many many years and one recent test I performed about 2 years ago allowed for some reception on the shortwave bands. Since testing now to list and describe accurately for the buyer I cannot pick up anything on it, though I did not operate unit for very long or extensively.Obvious that some service is needed to the circuitry on the inside so this one being sold as-is for a project unit or display item.
As noted the \"Band\" dial comes off due to missing the tiny set screw. One scratch noted on the top of the unit. All knobs function, tuner string is working. Selling with the original headphones that do work but the male plug end has been cut and the headphones now end at bare wires so they can be reattached to the headphone plug.
