Over the next several weeks, I will be listing dolls from the collection of an individual who is now in a nursing home with dementia/altzheimers. She was born in 1929 and collected dolls during her childhood. Some of the dolls were given to her by her grandfather. She had such a lovely collection, that she showed the dolls in stores in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. The funds received from the sale of these dolls will go toward her care. In addition, it will give the family satisfaction knowing that the dolls are not wasting away with no one getting to appreciate them.
The dolls have been in storage for quite some time and, at one time, for a while in an attic. I will attempt to describe the condition of the dolls as accurately as possible and will provide lots of photographs. I am not a doll expert, so I may miss something that is important to a doll collector. Please read the description, view the photographs, and ask questions. Comes from a smoke-free environment.
Offered is an all-bisque Japan character doll with jointed arms and wearing her original clothing. Stands 5 inches high. In good vintage condition with some wear to the paint on the nose and one cheek. Light soiling. Marked Japan on the bottom of the left foot.
