This is a nice vintage pair of Mountaineering Boots made by Kastinger. They are the Peter Habeler Superlight model. Size inside is MM12. The measure 12.75 inches long from heel to toe (placed against wall), and they measure 4.25+ inches at widest part of foot. They measure 8" tall from floor to ankle top.These were the best of the best boots of their day for Mountaineering; they Date from the mid-1980's. They are in good shape. The Vibram soles show almost no wear. The leather is in good shape with only a few surface marks. Maybe a bit stiff from not having been worn in a while; Mountaineering Boots are leather boots with a laminated wood stiffener built in so the boots are stiff, anddon't flex when climbing ice in crampons. Owner hates to part with this old-school classic, but must make room in closet.A great find.
