You are offerding on a antique/vintage Safe Deposit/Bank/Policy Strong Box. This is a very attractive box withnice writing on the front.

I don't know if this metal box was usedby a bank as a safe deposit box or if it was meant for home and business use in a safe to hold policies, deeds,& important records.

It must have been used to hold very important things as it is equipped with a brassEagle Lock.

The box is painted black with thin gold striping on each side.

In gold lettering on the front of the box it reads, "The Landing System - Manufd by - Landing (could be Lamding)-Ronning Company - Minneapolis, Minn."

The brass lock is stamped, "Eagle Lock Co. - Terryville, Ct. U. S. A." The lock has a button which slides right to open the lid. It also has a key hole so it can be locked, but I don't have a key for it.

A sturdy brass handle is attached to the front.

The box measures 12" in length x 4" in width x 6½" in height.

The box bears the normal and expected surface marks from age and use. There are a few small dimples on the lid.

The box opens and closes nicely and the button on the lock slidesright to open the lid as it should.

This is a really nice vintage/antique safe deposit/strong box for anyone collecting vintage record or bank boxes.Of course it will also be a great receptacle for holding your important papers, policies, bonds, or deeds, looking very attractive in your office area.
