Up for sale is a vintage blue-face Marantz 2225 Stereo Receiver. This unit was designed in the USA and manufactured in Japan between 1976 and 1977.

Basic features and published specs are:

• 25 watts rms per channel.
• THD: 0.5%.
• Power Bandwidth: 20Hz to 20kHz.
• Frequency Response: 20Hz to 20 kHz + or- 1.0dB.
• FMSensitivity: 2.2uV.
• Stereo FM THD: 0.5%.
• Stereo FM Separation at 1kHz: 40dB.
• AM Sensitivity: 25 uV.
• Gyro tuning, 300 and 75 ohm FM antenna binding posts, stereo/mono switch, FM muting switch, signal strength meter, center tuning meter, high filter, volume control, balance control, loudness control.
• External AM ferrite rod antenna with binding posts forremote AM antenna.
• Bass, midrange and treble tone controls.
• Input selector switch for aux, phono, AM, FM, tape.
• Main/remote speaker selector switch.

I obtained this receiver from about 10 years ago and used it until I purchased other stereo equipment. I recently took it out of storage and tried it out. The left channel didn\'t seem to work. I opened it up and cleaned the balance control and that did it! I operated it for a few hours after that with no problems. I believe it to be in good operating condition, but it is being sold with no warranties, as-is.

Cosmetically, I consider it to be in very good condition with some wear. Check over the photos and judge for yourself.
