Here is a VERY NICE example of a mid 60\'s Japanese Electric guitar. The actual brand name is missing from the headstock due to an older re-finish I am pretty sure its a TEISCO/KINGSTON/GUYATONE one of the main Japanese builders of that era, but CANNOT be specific. The guitar plays great, very nice neck action and it has that grungy garage sound ( think Wailers or Sonics ) the volume controls occasionally cut out so I am sure it could use a re-solder/wires, but the pots seem good. The guitar is all original except for the whammy bar, that is a later addition. It is missing the string retention bar on the headstock. The re-finish job on the neck & body was done pretty well. It looks like a lacquer and there are no runs like you usually see on a homemade job. There is a little crazing at the bottom on each side of the bridge (see picture) but its almost unnoticeable unless you look for it. Overall its a good players guitar and a great addition to a 60\'s Japanese guitar collection. Please ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them!!
