This roll of haori kimono wool (called a ‘tan’) is made from very thin, fine, wool crepe with a very slightly coarse feel – not the harsh prickling you often find in woolens, but a hand more like a crinkle cotton – though the surface is perfectly smooth.Barely feels like a woolen.Black with red ikat squares and crosses.
Lovely drape, vintage fabric, possibly from the 1940s, in excellent condition – from a new bolt (what’s called “deadstock” – a bolt that’s never been touched so is a ‘new’ bolt, even though it’s vintage).
14.50” wide, price is per yard.
