DESCRIPTION: Beautiful vintage hand woven wool gallup throw, wall hanging, or runner. Gallup Throws are smaller Navajo Weavings which were specially made for tourists traveling out west by Railroads, and were sold by Fred Harvey. This throw has traditional Navajo colors, with geometric patterns. Could be used as a saddle blanket as well.
SIZE/WEIGHT: Approximately 37” long, 19.25” wide. Weighs 1 pound 3.75 oz.
CONDITION: Very Good - Good vintage, we can find no holes or tears. There are some thread or yarn pulls here and there, some age spots or light soiling, one of the end loops is broken (no longer a loop), and the deep burgundy red that is around the black yarn has bled into the cream background.
