From Norway, large vintage enameled pictorial tea caddy spoon in 925 sterling silver with gold wash. Beautiful enamel work mainly in blue and orange consists of 8 pictorial scenes on the handle with a crown-style tip. Pictorial segments of Heraldic symbols and crests include a Castle, Lion rampant with Tree of Life, Maple leaf, King, church and scales, another castle or fort, Reindeer, an eagle, and what appears to be a goddess with stars, wheat sheaf and shield.etc. Hallmarks on the reverse: Sterling, J Tostrup, Norway and maker\'s mark of tankard and initials JTExcellent condition with no damage, chips or repairs to the enamel but one very tiny spot of yellow missing in the waves; it cannot be seen except under magnification. Length: 5.75 inches, width of bowl is approx. 2 inches. Makers Mark: J Tostrup, see photos. Tostrup was one of the best makers of enamelware.
