Vintage Pacific Islands Tapa Tonga Tree Bark Cloth 114\"x 46\" Oceania Tribal Folk Art

Authentic Tapa barkcloth from the south Pacific Island regions, possible Fiji. Measures 114” long by 46” wide. Very prominent and well done. These were made using layers of bark fibers that were pounded together to form a bark cloth that was then stamped using natural inks to create a intriguing pattern the length of the cloth. Beautiful example of Pacific Island tribal arts & craft. In very good condition, no repairs, some edge fraying and small tears in the ends. Not yellowed or turned brown. Creases and folds the length of the Tapa but that is common with this type of art. Would look great in any Polynesian or South Pacific island decor.I try to describe the items as best as I can. No repairs, no crazing. Has a small chip on the inside of the top rim (see picture). Can not see it with the lid on.
