Vintage Ranger 3-Blade Stockman Knife Colonial Pocket Folding Knife Ca. 1967. The Patent No. 3,317,996 on the knife is the patent for the KNIFE BOLSTER ASSEMBLY; which was filed on July 6, 1965 and approved on May 9. 1967. Antonio Paolantonio, the Inventor, was one of the brothers who established the Colonial Knife Co., Inc. in 1926. Colonial was also the producer of the Barlow, Roy Rogers, Hop-a-long Cassiday, Lone Ranger, Kitchen Aid and other knives. This knife has seen use and plating on the nameplate is worn on the edges, the handles are solid, without cracks, but have dulled and do have numerous small scratches,the blades are stained but should polish up fine as they are not pitted, the brass pins are tight and solid, the silver nickel bolsters are worn through the plating on the corners. This was a WORK knife as made and used.
