This wonderful old piece has a great antique design with embroidered decoration, hook and eye clasps, and H.V. Allien & Co New York brass ball buttons. This is a childs size and was probably custom made for an officers son, a common practice in the era.

Thiscoatee is in distressed condition,therefore, it is showing characteristicsof such an apparel.

Signs of major wear, major blemishes,with some mothing and soiling are visible. Other than that, it has plenty of life left for costume or that certain aged look for a child.
