You arelooking at a highly collectible 1940\'s era Electro VoiceV-1 \"Velocity\"Ribbonmicrophone in working condition that came right out of South Bend, Indiana. A smaller ribbon mic made by E.V and certainly one of the most unique. This is the nicest V-1 microphone I have ever offered for sale on .

The V-1 series is about 3 times smaller than the much larger V-2 produced by Electro Voice during the same time period. This V-1 measures 6 1/2 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide. Thepolished chrome body shows an absolute minimum of wear as seen in the pictures provided and would make any collector of vintage microphones proud to show. Please let the detailed pictures be your guide. The E.V label looks real nice and completely legible. The V-1 sits on it\'s original yoke / swivel and it works nicely allowing just the right amount of tension and desired angle. Just slight wear on the chrome tightening / thumb screws. Both front and rear chrome screens have zero tarnishing and are free of any dents. All original components inside including original ribbon, transformer and all screws.

The on / off switch works just as it should and slides smoothly.

This first generation Ribbon micis in working condition and has it\'s original ribbon. it should be noted though that the signal is weaker and way too much bass. This is what happens when the ribbons sag over time. I would not suggest using this for any live event but again...the mic does work. You\'ll want to have the ribbon replaced for sure if you ever want to use this for a studio setting. I know a gentleman who can get this up and sounding fantastic for just over $200.00 if you are interested?

Cosmetically it\'s a very conservative 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10.MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPALY PURPOSES ONLY.
