I don\'t know the year of this instrument but I\'ve had it for quite a while now. It\'s sounded great for as long as I\'ve had it but I can\'t play anymore do to a back injury. All the valves are in perfect working order as I\'ve kept it regularly oiled when need be. The only damage on the whole instrument is a small dent in the lower rear crook, the majority of used horns have this ding and it never affects the sound. It comes with an old case which I\'m sure is original to the instrument because they fit so flush together. One of the latches on the case does not close. It also comes with an Olds 3 mouthpiece and a selmer marching lyre. This mouthpiece is one of the easiest I\'ve ever had to get notes out of and it brought my embouchure well beyond where it should\'ve been when I started. If you\'re looking for a great jazz horn that\'ll reach pitches higher than the stratosphere, this is the perfect horn for you. Any questions, don\'t hesitate to ask!
