This is a hand carved wooden chess set from Thailand. It was purchased 50-60 years ago. The pieces are in excellent condition. The playing surface has a few cracks and chips in the veneer from wear.
The King and Queen are approx. 4 7/8\" high and weigh 1.6-1.8 ounces each (around 50g) . I say approximately because these are hand carved pieces. There are slight variations to each piece, no two are the same. Look at the last photo - every one of the white pawns is just a little different.
The chess board offers custom cut storage. Chess board measures 15 1/4\" square.
