Here is a nice old motion lamp titled \"TRANQUIL WATERS\" appearing to be in good working order. We could not find a maker\'s marking other than a label affixed to the inside bottom plate reading \"Portable Electric Lamp, National Lamp & Electric Co., Approved by Hydro Electric Power Comm.\" The lamp itself is quite heavy with most of the parts metal. The front facing plate is glass framed in a heavy metal probably iron or steel (guess). Metal case and top to protect the inside. The fronside measures 13-1/4\" wide and stands 9\" tall so a good size. About 6\" deep and weighs a hefty 6 popunds by itself. The switch works good and lights up nicely but we didn\'t leave it on too long to see if the cylnder rotates or not. Cord is brittle and has some exposed wire and will need to be replaced if you are planning on lighting this for an extended period of time.

Overall condition seems to be very good overall with the exception of perhaps the cord. The cylinder has a top and bottom (2 pieces) and there issome tape to keep it intact. A bit of chipping on the bottom of the cylinder but probably doesn\'t affect the functionality of the lamp.

Purchased at an estate sale on a whim, pretty cool item.
