This listing features an adorable vintage piece of doll furniture, a Strombecker wooden playpen. They made a wide variety of good quality items for dolls in the fifties and sixties. The playpen is one of the more rare. This one was missing the bottom, but the top assembly was in excellent condition with its only flaw being some small spots of missing varnish. Since I love vintage items and try to \"save\" them from being discarded, I made it my goal to replace the bottom. Found an excellent match in a fiberboard which we cut to fit into the provided slots. Not wanting to stop there, I found some adorable farm animal stickers (like old decals) and added them. They can be removed if you don\'t like them. And lastly, we debated on whether to fasten the bottom or leave it removable. It\'s still removable and can be finished with a couple small screws or nails or not but I will leave that to the new owner since some may want to leave it collapsible for storage. Questions welcome.
