This vintage 1943 Herschede Hall Clock Company anti-aircraft scope is in good overall condition for age. This piece was used and everything shows normal wear and tear from use. Carry Boxes are bumped, bruised, and the larger one has a crack in the top lid and is missing the front handle. The scope still functions and you can look through it, focus it in and adjust it. Tripod is a pain to get set up and leveled, takes patience and time. Leather on tripod is good but not excellent, would really benefit from a leather conditioner to give it back some moisture and even more flexibility. No chips or cracks in either lens that I could see. Has a plastic tab that reads off, not sure what that would have been for or if it still functions. I am no expert on militaria or this piece in particular, I can\'t say if there is a missing piece on the scope or not, everything included with the sale is seen in the photos. Scope is HEAVY, may take two people to assemble. Piece does have a slightly musty/old smell like it was stored in an attic or basement, detect a slight smoke smell as well. Would make a very neat piece to have set up with your military collection. Item will only be shipped to the lower 48 via ground with full insurance and signature confirmation.
