ZIP MONKEY DOLL
This sale is for the monkey doll pictured. What you see is what you will receive. The monkey doll has no tags, so I don't know maker. He has a white and red hat, yellow shirt that says ZIP, red overalls with green buttons and white shoes. His face, ears, hands and shoes are made of rubber. His body is stuffed. I received this monkey doll as a gift as I like the Monchichis cartoon from 80's. This doll is not a Monchichi.
I've done some research on and have foudn similar dolls but not one like this. I understand this monkey was made popular by a show called Howdy Doody in the 50s or 60s.
Again, I'm not a collector and I don't know if this is an authentic ZIP monkey from the 50s or 60s.
It have no tags!
However, if you are looking for a ZIP monkey and don't care to have the exact original from the 50s or 60s this is the monkey doll for you as I'm started this sale at 99 cents. I want it to find a good home where it can be given TLC.
Thank you for reading my long description. Happy offerding!

I received a request to post more pics wanting to see the seams, fur, hat.I have since posted.I had tostrip the monkey doll of his clothes &thereit was....onthe side of his leg nicely tucked away. His tag! His tag reads: 1984 LEE ECUYER; FUN FARM BY DAKIN; SAN FRANCISCO, CA.
I hadn't ever taken offhis clothes! So here are more details that I found:
His shirt hassomefaint red stains on the front. The red stains have to be from his red jumper overalls, as once you puthim back together, you can't see them. Also, received a request about how tall he was.I measured himstanding up from feet to top of head. Hemeasures approximately 16 inches long.Hopefully, I have described him further for you.If I have left something out please let me know. Thank you for your questions! Happy offerding.
