This sale is a for a 13 String wooden Guzheng in very good Vintage Condition. All 13 steel strings are present. The bottom back side corners have a little damage from being previously displayed, each spot is about 1/2\" square. This piece is generously adorned with Abalone Floral Inlays and in very good condition except for the minor damage already mentioned. I see no reason why it would not be playable with a little set up and tuning.

The guzheng (Chinese: 古箏; pinyin: gǔzhēng) is a Chinese plucked zither. It has 18-23 or more strings and movable bridges.

The guzheng is the ancestor of several Asian zither instruments, such as the Japanese koto, the Mongolian yatga, the Korean gayageum, and the Vietnamese đàn tranh. The guzheng should not be confused with the guqin (another ancient Chinese zither without bridges and with less strings).

This Guzheng measures 26-1/2\" long, 6-3/4\" at the bottom bout, 4-1/4\" at the top bout, and approximately 3\" deep.
