Vtg 1977 Green Tiger Press Ring of Nibelung Big Calendar Arthur Rackham Opera:

This is for a very scarce calendar featuring art by Arthur Rackham from The Ring of the Nibelung, the opera by Wagner. 1977 calendar, produced in 1976 by Green Tiger Press which was located in La Jolla, California. Calendar is large and measures approximately 23 3/4\" in length (just shy of 2 feet!) x 12\" wide. Each month has a print by Rackham, and the prints each measure approximately 13 1/8\" x 9 7/8\". Pages are a thick bornw paper (almost like a heavy paper bag) and each print is attached to the paper on the top edge. The backing is a large piece of white card stock. All pages are held together by a thin colored cord. Pages have some rippling. Very light crease to upper right corner of cover. Card stock backing has some creasing, some discoloration and 5 pinholes. Prints include Siegfried and Gutrune and the drinking horn (from The Twilight of the Gods), Freia (from The Rhinegold), The Rhine\'s fair children (from The Rhinegold), Erda warning Wotan of the Ring\'s curse (from The Rhinegold), Siegmund the Walsung brings a sword (from The Valkyrie), Brunnhilde (from The Valkyrie), Raging Wotan rides to the rock (from The Valkyrie), Mime and The Wanderer (from Siegfried), \"The hot blood burns like fire!\" (from Siegfried), Brunnhilde contemplating Siegfried\'s ring (from The Twilight of the Gods), the wooing of Grimhilde the mother of Hagan (from The Twilight of the Gods), and Brunnhilde and Hagen plotting Siegfried\'s death (from The Twilight of the gods).
