VTG Bamboo Fly Rod The Hadley Amherst Rod Co 8\' 3 1/2 oz RARE Original LL Bean:
$78.04

For those who love to fish and the outdoors!

Up for your consideration is

a rare and collectible Vintage 4-Piece Bamboo FLY ROD.

This rod is marked in script in several places along the pole.

It reads \"The Hadley\" and Amherst Rod Co and 8\' 3 1/2. - meaning the length is 8 feet and it weighs 3 1/2 ounce.

The Amherst Rod company operated in the late 1940\'s to the early 50\'s in Amherst, Massachuettes.

They supplied LL. Bean with a line of feather weight fly rods.

These rods were touted as feather weight

It comes with its ORIGINAL metal case and a green cloth cover with pockets specific for each part.

They were nickel-plated.

The different components are different lengths.

The first piece is approximately 33\" long,

the second piece is 30 1/4\", the third piece is 28 1/2\"

and the last is 33\".

The next to the last guide is missing.

The aluminum case is 33 3/4\".

The first two pieces fit together smoothly.

However, the top of the second piece is missing so I wasn\'t able to attach the third piece.

The same is the situation of the last two pieces because of some missing hardware.

This item is sold as-is.

Please see photos as they are part of the description.
