How the grow system works is the roots are soaked in the right amount of water, oxygen and nutrients which makes the plants grow significantly faster, up to five times faster thanin soil. With the system all you have to do is plant your seeds in the rockwool cubes soak the cubes in water for 5 seconds and place under a grow light or sunlight (prefer grow light). Keep rockwool wet but not drenched until seeds sprout. I have found the best way to sprout seeds by placing the rockwool cubes with your seed in it into a plastic bag which keeps moisture in and you will not have to worry about the rockwool cube drying out and close the bag 1/2 way. If you do not use plastic sandwich bags then you will have to use a spray bottle and keep the rockwool cubes wet until the seeds sprout. After seeds sprout keep an eye out for roots coming out the bottom. After you start to see roots coming out place your rockwool cube into the net pots in the reservoir. Add water to the main indent on the inside of the reservoir or approximetely 1 inch below the hole that is on the side of the reservoir. You want the water barely touching the bottom of the black net pots ( it is fine if you fill the water a bit more because it will eventually evaporate and not keep the rockwool soaked). At this point there is no need to add nutrients. After plants are approximetely 2-4 inches tall you can add nutrients at the rate of 1/4 teaspoon per 1-4 weeks with 1 week for best results but when you re add nutrients make sure you empty the old water and add new water. To add nutrients fill the reservoir 1/4 full of hot water and add the dry nutrients and stir with a spoon and after it dissolves for the most part which some wont dissolve which is normal and fine then add cold water to balance the water temperature out to a nice cool touch but not to cold and not to warm. Sit back and let the plants do there job. After the plants get around 4-10 inches then you can add 1/2 teaspoon of nutrients when re-adding the water. To change the water I have found it easiest to set the lid on a 5 gallon bucket so roots wont get damaged or you can use anything that you can sit the lid on which does not smoosh the roots. I change my water every 2-3 weeks because I am lazy but everyone has there own greenthumb.
