OK here it is a Wells Fargo Express box. A friend of mine has had this for Forty years. He purchased it from a retired Railway express Employee. The man he purchased it from was around 70 years old when purchased it from him. I have no idea how long that man had it. Anyway check it out. Pictures 5 & 8 show the locking mechanism and picture 9 shows the wear to it. The box has a 4 stamped into it and the original key has 4 stamped on it also. The second key is a key my friend had made for the box as he was afraid he would lose the key. This box has a weird locking mechanism as the black ring in picture 9 must be turned to move the large steel pins to lock the box then the key is turned and it locks. You can see the wear to the steel ring in picture 9. Thus showing it was used a lot. The box also has a spot on the top left where you would put a seal on the box so once loaded and sealed if someone somehow got an extra key the person at the receiving could see someone had tampered with it.Picture 10 shows the sliding feet on the bottom. The sliding feet show lots of wear also. The box is 2 feet long by 15 inches wide and is 15 inches high. So roughly 2.75 CF This box empty weighs around 60 to 70 lbs or more. So as for shipping cost I have no idea. I will be putting it as a pick up locally but if you are not local and really want the box and you find someone who will ship it for you I will work with them arranging to get it.
