1931Western Electric 202 4H dial
Beautiful Original Paint!
E1 handset and634 Ringer Box.
What makes this phone outstanding is the beautiful original
paint that looks almost like new. Collectors look for original
paint as they know that they are worth more. This paint is
outstanding. The ear tipswere lightly touched up.
Many hours of time went into restoring this telephone. It was
completely disassembled. Each component both outside and
inside of the phone right down to the smallest screw was hand
cleaned and polished. The phone has been fully tested, rings
nicely and has excellent transmission and reception.
The dial and phone are dated 1931. The 4H has that
"Clickety - Clack" sound which adds to the value of the phone.
The dial is in beautiful shape. It was disassembled
cleaned and calibrated and works perfectly. The porcelain
number plate shows crisp numbers with no wear.
Thesought after seamless E1 handset was buffed to a beautiful shine
and is in excellentshape. The handset cord is original, not reproduction.
The subset cordisnew.
The line cord was replaced so that it will plug into today's modern
phone land lines.
Theleather on the bottom is original and in excellent condition as
Wiring was done according to the original Bell Telephone diagrams.
The 202 requires a separate ringer box or subset which is 634 type subsetis correct for the phone. The subset
was completely taken apart, cleaned and repainted.
The phone is fully functional. The sound quality is excellent in both
transmitting and receiving. The dual brass gongs give it that old time
sound. I have thoroughly tested the phone.
All antiquerotary phones require a traditional landline for dialing
out. If you have another type of phone service, check with your
provider as you may need a pulse to tone converter to dial out.
They can be purchased on and easily added to the end of
the phone line jack. See my other telephones and magnetos.
