I don\'t think this Big Western Bowie Knife was ever used and it retains its original factory very sharp edge on the bright and shiney blade. The blade is tang stamped with Western U.S.A. and the model # W46-8 along with an N. The N would indicate that this knife was made in 1990 according to Westerns letter dating system. This is a monster sized knife with its 8 inch blade. The knife is rock solid in every way and has exotic hardwood handles held firmly in place by two large brass pins. The knife also has a large brass fingerguard along with black, red and white spacers. The knife also has a wide blood groove in its beautiful mirror polished blade. The knife also comes in what I believe is its original high quality sewn leather belt sheath. This Western knife is about 13 inches long from end to end.
