US Navy white summer cap. Pre-1940 with hand embroidered Left shoulder facing Eagle. Cloth back and bullion wire with shield piece. Deep age Tarnishing on the badge, chin strap and brim and the strap is a bit fragile looking. The inner sweatband is pliable and in tact as well as the stitching but there is some sort of patch repair at the rear of head area. There is a chip in the brim edging also. This is the cleanest of the three in my grandpas caps as i believe it was a spare and wasn\'t worn much. It was wrapped in paper in a box for probably decades but is in really nice condition. All parts are present and i see no damage to the badge. The other two have his name in them so i won\'t be selling those, just this one. A great chance for a rare original WW1 relic!
