WW1 German 1st Pattern 1884/98 Bayonet With Unit Marks: $83.79
For sale is a WW1 German modified 1st pattern 1884/98 Bayonet. These bayonets were made during WW1 by removing the muzzle ring from 1884/71 bayonets to allow them to be used with the Gew98 Rifle. This bayonet is in good shape as has nice clear markings. It was originally manufactured in 1888 by Paul Weyersberg for use with the 71/84 rifle. It is unit marked 4.R.E.3 which could either be a Reserve Ersatz Regiment or a Eisenbahn (Railway Protection) Regiment. Unfortunately this bayonet is missing the original leather scabbard. It is in good condition otherwise and the press stud works perfectly. The pictures should tell the rest. Please email me with any questions. Free US shipping. International varies by location.I will be listing a very large 40 year collection of various military items from WW1-WW2 over the coming weeks/months so keep checking back for more items.
