For sale here is a great looking set of WW2 Period German Hensoldt Wetzlar Binoculars. The binoculars are as found and are in great condition. The case is of dark bakelite and is complete with all straps and attachments. The leather is in great condition and is even marked with a waffenampt. There is one crack in the case, but this is cosmetic as it is sound and tough and is unaffected by the cosmetic crack. The case closes nicely and the spring in the fastener still works perfectly. The leather bump pads in the case are present. The bottom of the interior of the case is marked OF T2. There is also a piece of paper taped inside the top of the case that states that Clifford (Last Name Removed) said he took them off a WW2 German General, under that the words, \"there the best keep in family\" have been marked over. The binoculars have wonderful optics and are independent focus. The left piece is marked Hensoldt Wetzlar 344398. The right side is marked Dienstglas 6 X 30 344398 bmj +. There is no strap present. The faux leather cover is very nice and completely intact. There is some wear to the high points of the binoculars, but overall they look great and function perfectly. There is a range finding reticle in the right eye piece. The optics are bright and clear and everything works perfectly.
