Very rare and interesting WW2 Japanese enlisted man\'s field made fighting knife. Very interestingand rare piece of history. It is made with a tanto blade and is constructed out of field obtained material.The handle and sheath are carved wood. The wood is wrapped with helmet camo string and Japanese helmetchin strap cotton material. The sheath has a piece of wrapped leather attached to it with a twine rope forcarrying.There is a cool Japanese enlisted collar tab attached. All of this is very old and the handle andwrapping are stained from oil and dirt. A very small tip of the blade is broken off.Not unusual for anitem used in this fashion. I have the history of the knife. The owner\'s name and the island that he fought on.He was discharged, for medical reasons. I obtained this from a collector who obtained it from the soldier\'sfamily.I will supply it to the buyer.
