WW2 Red Dragon Meissen Cup from the Berghof-DISCOUNTED due to the porcelain handle being broken. But both two pieces of the broken cup handle are present (one large and one small piece) and can be repaired by someone who works in porcelain. This Red Dragon motif coffee cup was liberated from the storage area under the Berghof by a U S serviceman at the end of the war. It has the Red Dragon around the side and gold scalloped rim and a gold trimmed base. The blue Meissen hallmark of crossed swords in the particular to this period are on the bottom along with what appears to be the no. 40 in minute red lettering which was added prior to firing. These pieces can be seen in various 3rd Reich collector books such as “History of the Eagles Nest”, “Collector’s Guide to Liberated Adolf Hitler Memorabilia”, “Treasure Trove, the Looting of the Third Reich” and other publication.
