Very good condition original WWI Imperial German 98/05Mauser butcher sawback bayonet that has beautiful clear Stahlblume manufacturermarkings on the blade with the angle trademark and dated 1916 on the spine.Blade has original bright finish with a little brown and has been sharpened.Saw teeth are all sharp and crisp. Remaining metal finish is mixed blue, brown,and gray. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit. Lock button hasbeen ground flush with the pommel but still works. This may have been done tomake the bayonet a sidearm. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that hasblue and brown metal finish and no dents. Tough to find these WWI German 98/05bayonets with sawback intact and this one has a beautiful maker marking!
