Excellent ConditionSgt Chevrons
This is a WWI US M1917 Wool Field Jacket.
It is in excellent condition. No rips, no tears, no wear and no mothing. All buttons are original and present.
The jacket has Sgt Chevrons and Regular Army collar disks for Infantry. I believe the collar disks are original and have included pictures of them as well so you can decide for yourself.
The collars seem to have the proper studs bu the rifles are crossed backwards for reasons unknown to me. May have been made overseas.
The manufactures tag states:Milton Simpson & Co.Contract No. 4183 N.June 29 1918New York Depot Q.M.C.US InspectorNew York Depot
The tag is also marked with a red 3189 but no size.
17\" Shoulder to shoulder19\" Armpit to Armpit18 1/2 \" at the waist24\" Shoulder to Cuff28\" Nape to bottom seam.
Both collar clips are present but one has been resewn.The neck tab is also hand sewn on and there is some minor damage to the tape in this area from the repairs.
Overall in excellent shape and hard to find these days.
