From my forty plus year collection is this WWI / pre- WWI United States Marine Corps summer khaki cotton uniform. The USMC buttons are the pre- WWI style and that\'s why I am listing it as WWI or prior to WWI. The coat has sergeant stripes on both sleeves. The rank on the right sleeve has a small round moth hole in the wool.The coat has no damage other than a few stains. The matching trousers are in fine condition. They have a belted back and brass fly and suspender buttons. The trousers also have a khaki web belt with an unusual belt buckle.The campaign hat is the 1917 issue type with 5 rows of stitches and not folded under. The cap device is a WWI period device. The hat also has the original leather chin/neck strap.A very nice set with no damage except for some stains.No name in the uniform.The sweatband has the name \"Bassage\" written in ink.Hard to find a complete USMC khaki uniform for this period and a great find for a USMC uniform collector...
