This is an original military aircraft ADF Loop Antenna or Football antenna. This antenna is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. This antenna can be found on most World War Two aircraft. This antenna works with the ADF. ADF stands for automatic direction finder. You tune in a radio station and your ADF instrument will point to that station. Then you can navigate to that station. It can still be used today on some aircraft. This type of antenna has been in use since World War 2 and is still in use today.
