WWII Home Front $50.00 Series \"E\" War Savings Bond with \" INVASION BOND JUNE 1944 I HAVE FAITH \" Gold and Red StampWar Bond was Issued June 23 ,1944 in Concord, New Hampshire
War Bond is Clean and was Never Cashed !
The WWII Posters promoting the Sale of these War Bonds after the D-Day Invasion on June 6 ,1944 , there were 2 of them ,
1st was the \" BUY THAT INVASION BOND \" with the Poster Art Showing the Troops Landing on the Beach D-DayThe 2ed was \" INVEST IN INVASION \" with the Poster Art Showing the Airborne Paratroopers jumping out of the Airplane. This War Bond has the Red Lettering over Gold Stamp Affixed to it , I have only seen a very few of these in the past several years ,
First the Bond had to be Sold in the Month of June 1944 Only to be a Invasion Bond.
This is the only type that I have ever seen, (with the Red over Gold Stamp ) I purchased this War Bond a while back from a Collector and Historian
of War Bonds and other U.S. Government Bonds. I asked why not a Ink Stamp like some ofother Special IssuedWar Bonds ( like the Pearl Harbor Day Issued War Bonds,
Some of the Numbered War Loan Bonds \" 5th War Loan, ect.) His answer was not enough time to make and distribute the Ink Stamps to the Issuing Agents for just a short time
from June 6 to June 30 1944 . It now made sense, and the D-Day Invasion was a SECERET , so No information could have or was ever giving out in ref to the Invasion War Bondshaving a Ink Stamp made prior to the Invasion. ( thought I would pass on this information I received from Him)Check out the photos and if any questions just Please Ask , Thank You !!War Bond will be Packed with Care
